insect impact
Sketchbooks & Diaries
In college, I lived in a dark old sublet. I could feel something alive going on behind the walls. I once found a dead dragonfly on the table. Other times, I eliminated some ant roads. Sometimes I met a beetle I couldn't identify. I realized that even though we don't see it, insect life is just everywhere. It buzzes, it lives, and when you stop your breath for a moment, you can hear it. — It scared me and fascinated me at the same time, so I started to work on this topic in my diploma thesis. Only later I implemented vector insect patterns on a series of diaries and sketchbooks.
